It was an ancient city located east of the Nile about 800 kilometers  south of the Mediterranean. Its ruins lie within the modern city of Luxor.

Your tour will start by crossing over to the West Bank of the Nile to visit THE VALLEY OF THE KINGS.Here you will be met by your private guide who will start your journey into another world going back hundreds and hundreds of years.

The Valley of the Kings  is a valley in Egypt where,for a period of nearly 500 years from the 16th century to 11th century BC ,rock cut tombs were excavated for the Pharaohs and powerful nobles of the new kingdom.It contains at least 63 tombs which consisted of both favourite nobles and king

After this we take you to an Alabaster factory .In Egypt Alabaster is found in two places ,a few miles behind the Valley of the Kings and the Malawi region . The ancient Pharaohs used this wonderful material for many purposes,including household items,ritual objects and for a number of different funerary purposes. Alabaster is a fine grained ,massive translucent variety of Gypsum,a hydrous calcium sulphate. It is pure white or streaked with reddish brown.

Then we move to the most characteristic temple in the whole of Egypt

THE TEMPLE OF QUEEN HATSHEPSUT It was built of limestone ,not sandstone like most of the funerary temples of the New Kingdom period.This Temple consists of three imposing terraces,the two lower ones would have once been full of trees and the second terrace is now accessed by a ramp where originally would have been stairs.The Temple was built for the Queen Hatshepsut to commemorate her achievements and to serve as a funerary temple for her as well as a sanctuary of the God AMON RA

After we move to The Breathtaking COLOSSI OF MENMON. They are a pair  of giant statues made of stone that are located in the Theban Necropolis in Luxor.They were made during the 14th century and reach a staggering 20 meters high and are made of quartzite sandstone. These statues depict Amenhotep III in a seated position, with their hands resting on their knees and their faces facing the Nile to the east.

This temple comprises of a vast mix of decayed temples,chapels,pylons and other buildings in Egypt.They are the largest temples all over the world . A high 20m ,mud brick enclosure wall surrounded all these buildings.On your way to the entrance you will find a ram-headed avenue of Sphinxes, which was built to protect the temple . There are 20 rams on each side extending from the small harbour to the 1st pylon, which was built in the 30th dynasty. As you cross here it will lead you to a jaw dropping open court containing rows of bud Papyrus columns which are 21 meters high.
